The Saxon Way of St. James at Frankenstraße branches off from the Via Regia in Bautzen near Hammermühle and leads over about 300 km via Bischofswerda, Dresden, Freiberg, Chemnitz, Zwickau and Oelsnitz/V. to Hof. Further variants start in Königsbrück, Jahnsdorf and Annaberg Buchholz. The section in the district of Zwickau runs from the A72 near Hartenstein to the border of Vogtland near Hirschfeld. It leads through the city of Zwickau with its numerous cultural highlights. On the sections outside the towns you can enjoy the view of the Ore Mountains.
