Around Wolkenburg Castle
From Wolkenburg Castle, you have a fabulous view of the Zwickauer Mulde. Since the 17th century, Wolkenburg Castle was owned by the von Einsiedel family. In 1945, the expropriation took place. Today, the castle can be visited (Tue.-Sun. 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM). Below the castle, there is a wooden playground with resting facilities. The New Church is probably one of the most beautiful buildings of Classicism in Saxony. It was built from 1794 to 1804 in the ancient Greek temple style. By the way: On the route, you also pass by the St. Anna Fundgrube.
