A warm welcome to the small town of Waldenburg with its small, sleepy lanes and the market square with its medieval feel.

Waldenburg is famous for its pottery works, for this tradition has been cultivated here for centuries. The five small exhibition pottery works can be inspected by those interested in the subject. The stoneware was even exported to Italy and overseas via Antwerp in the 14th and 15th centuries.

Waldenburg was first mentioned in official records in 1254 and was structured according to a plan, like many other towns in the region. The well preserved historical town centre recalls this time and has still not lost its charm. It gives the town its romantic mood.

The theatrical performances held in Grünfelder Park every year have drawn many viewers to the town since May 2000. Apart from this bustle for a short time, Grünfelder Park is an outstanding destination for people wanting to spend quality time or go for a walk.

The natural history museum in Waldenburg has achieved fame on the international stage.

The unique collection gathered by the Linck family and the many scientific and art historical exhibits attract people from all over the world, who are interested in these items.

Last, but not least – Waldenburg Castle. When viewed through the entrance gate, it is a real feast for the eyes for any visitor. It is even possible during special guided tours and visits to glimpse the interior and gain inspiration from the magnificent halls. Waldenburg and its surrounding area have managed to maintain the originality of old times in a stylish manner. Come and see for yourself!
