The house where the most popular Saxon writer Karl May (1842 – 1912) was born has been a memorial museum since 1995. The permanent exhibition at the house where Karl May was born provides a complete description of the life and works of the great author. An historic weaving room provides some insight into the living and working environment of a typical weaving family in about 1840 in a weaver’s house that is approx. 300 years old.
