The 33 m high viewing tower provides a wonderful view of Lichtenstein and the surrounding area – it is located on the "Alberthöhe". On a clear day you can see as far as Leipzig or the Erzgebirge Mountains located south of Lichtenstein.
The Alberthöhe obtained its name from King Albert of Saxony, who attended manoeuvres here in 1898. The old tower had to be demolished in 1921 for structural reasons. The current tower was rebuilt in 1993.
Visitors and guests can not only enjoy different walks in the area, but also the Hotel "Alberthöhe" and its excellent food and drink.
