Shortly after entering Hartenstein, the railway tracks are crossed to the left, shortly followed by reaching the striking Stein Fortress. Behind the fortress, turn left, cross the Zwickauer Mulde again, and immediately after the bridge, turn right. Follow the road to the entrance of Langenbach, where a steep climb must initially be overcome. At the highest point of the village, turn right into Wildenfelser Straße. After about 500 meters, keep left in a right-hand curve. Pass left of the allotment garden settlement, continue on the path, and after about 3 kilometers, cross the railway tracks, which are then followed parallel. At the Wiesenburg stop, cross the tracks again to the left, then pass the station on the right towards Silberstraße. At the end of the T-junction near the sports field, turn left, cross the B 93, and continue straight into Lindenallee, which turns into a gravel path up to the village of Haara. From there, the path goes downhill to Wilkau-Haßlau, passing under the motorway bridge. Continue on the street, then turn right onto Kirchberger Straße. After 300 meters go straight ahead, leaving the main road before the bridge over the Zwickauer Mulde. Follow the railway tracks. Just before entering Cainsdorf, cross the tracks to the right and then turn left again, without changing sides of the Mulde. From here, cycle closely along the Mulde promenade following the river to the center of Zwickau. Then continue on the embankment left of the Mulde along the B 183. Head north, passing Paradiesbrücke, Crossen weir, and the former railway bridge. At the next bridge, turn over the Mulde into Schneppendorfer Straße. At the fork, turn left into Lange Straße and follow it about 3 kilometers until the Zwickauer Mulde is crossed. Shortly thereafter, turn left, follow the path for about 100 meters, then turn right and pass under the federal highway bridge. In Schlunzig, take the third left onto Schlunziger Hauptstraße, then pass the church on the right. At the next T-junction, turn right. After 1.5 kilometers, Niederschindmaas is reached. Just after the village entrance, turn right. From here, keep going straight ahead closely along the Zwickauer Mulde until Glauchau is reached after 3.5 kilometers. After the railway underpass, turn right into Waldenburger Straße and continue straight without changing direction.
