Discover the whole world in one day – at the mini-world in Lichtenstein in Saxony.
Take a walk through 16 federal states and 5 continents on just one day – this vision becomes reality at the mini-world. Visit the Church of Our Lady in Dresden at 11 a.m. and 30 minutes later you can be standing in front of the Statue of Liberty in New York.
Youngsters are not the only ones to be amazed by the 110 buildings all constructed on a 1:25 scale. The Eiffel Tower is 12 metres high or the great pyramid of Gizeh has a surface area of 84 m2 – they open up completely new perspectives.
The technical model world is fascinating at any time: an Airbus A 310 takes off and lands at the “Munich airport site”, the cable car travels up to the Fichtelberg, various trains operate on a rail network that is 600 m long. Models are set in motion at the press of a button at more than 20 locations or there is some musical accompaniment: you cannot help being amazed.
More than 1,250,000 visitors have gone on a “small” journey round the world at the mini-world so far.
But the miniature structures are not the only things on display: an exhibition workshop with a creative area for the youngest members of the family,
a model railway for people of all ages just behind the Eiffel Tower and
even free phone calls from the red phone box right next to the Tower of London.
The “Am Tor zur Welt” restaurant provides visitors with just what they need in terms of food and drink.
Parking is free of charge at any time during the day. Dogs are allowed to go on the little journey round the world at this facility, which meets the needs of disabled guests.
